When the content changes after connecting to a route, it is usually because the platform has reassessed the current exit region. Regional access means having the platform process the request according to the region of the target library; it does not change an existing subscription tier, billing details, or age restrictions on the account.
The exit route is only one factor. The account’s signup region, billing region, device cache, browser location permissions, and app-store account can all affect the final result. As a result, a route may show the target content normally in a browser while the app still retains the previous library. The region name in the route list indicates the network exit location; it does not directly represent a platform’s permanently available status. If the target platform changes its detection rules, first try another route in the same region and then start a new playback session.
The difference between Native IP and Residential IP
Native IP
A Native IP generally refers to an address whose registered location in commonly used geolocation databases matches the route’s target region. It addresses the question of where the platform identifies the exit as being. Platforms use different databases and update schedules, so an address appearing in the target region on one lookup page alone cannot prove that every content platform will make the same assessment.

Residential IP
A Residential IP generally refers to an address associated with a residential broadband network. The real requirements for 4K playback and Dolby Vision
4K playback depends on more than route bandwidth. Platforms dynamically choose video quality based on the source, account plan, device certification, display capability, connection protocol, and network fluctuations. If speed-test results are high but the picture remains blurry, first confirm that the title offers the required resolution and that the account and playback device meet the platform’s requirements.
Consistent performance matters more than a short-lived peak. A speed-test page usually reflects only one segment between the test server and the device, while playback also involves the platform’s content delivery network, encrypted transport, buffering strategy, and device decoding. If quality drops periodically during busy hours, switch to a backup route in the same region instead of changing regions and causing the library to change again.
Dolby Vision also requires simultaneous support from the source, account, app, device, and display chain. A route can improve network transmission, but it cannot add device certification or display capability. If the Dolby Vision label does not appear, check the platform’s help page for current device support, then review the app version, display settings, and connection method.

The platform reports a proxy or unusual network environment

The content page opens, but playback fails to start or stops midway
This is more likely related to route fluctuations, device decoding, app state, or the platform’s content delivery. Lower the quality first to see whether playback becomes stable, then try another route in the same region. If the same issue occurs across multiple network environments, check the device clock, app state, and platform service status.
A subscription, billing detail, or household-location requirement is shown
A route does not change the subscription relationship or billing details in the platform account. Check the benefits and region settings on the account page, and avoid continuing to switch routes repeatedly. If the platform asks you to reconfirm household devices, follow its official process.
The website works normally, but the app still shows the old library
Fully quit the app and clear its cache, making sure the system has not retained the old connection, then sign in again. If clearing the TV app is inconvenient, verify the route in a browser first to determine whether the issue lies with the route or the device app.
